Coaching for
ADHD and Autism
Here’s what I’ve found most useful when tailoring my approach for people with ADHD or autism
For more of an overview of my coaching approach see here.
Honouring All Aspects of Who You Are
A diagnosis is just one aspect of your experience and who you are. My focus is on building a relationship with you and understanding all the unique parts of who you are, including your neurodiversity.
Tailoring our sessions to meet your needs
Some questions we might explore together:
How should we pace our sessions?
Do we need breaks?
Is it helpful to send follow-up emails summarising our sessions?
How do we communicate most effectively?
Are there specific words or phrases that might be confusing or unhelpful?
Creating Comfortable Space for Open Communication
Many neurodiverse people have a history of trying to fit in, which can make it hard to admit when something feels confusing or unhelpful.
That’s why I often ask, “Is this useful?”—I want you to feel comfortable saying, “You’ve lost me!” or “This isn’t helping.”
One of my favourite moments in coaching is when we find what clicks for you.
